BELLPORT CALENDARS



2012 Village of Bellport calendars are on sale now. The calendar contains beautiful photos taken throughout the Village including shots of the Marina, the Golf Course and Main Street. Calendars can be purchased for $10 each at Village Hall, Bellport Jewelry and Bellport Arts & Framing.

AARP DRIVER SAFETY CLASS

The AARP Driver’s Safety Class will be offered on Friday, April 20th from 9 am to 3 pm in the Bellport Community Center. Cost is $12 for AARP members, $14 for non-members. Contact Coleen at 631-286-0327 to register.

BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING MINUTES JANUARY 23, 2012

7:00pm – Board Meeting

1. Call to Order, Pledge of Allegiance, Roll Call: Present – Mayor Veitch, Trustees Vaughan, Terwilliger, Neumann and Budny
2. Approval of Minutes of December 19, 2011. Motion to approve by Trustee Budny, 2nd by Trustee Terwilliger. Vote: All in favor APPROVED.
3. Approve payment of attached bills and make necessary transfers. Motion to approve by Trustee Neumann, 2nd by Trustee Terwilliger. Vote: All in favor APPROVED.
4. Open to Public (30 Min)
5. Public Hearings:
a. None
6. New Business
• Set public hearings for February 27th to consider enacting a local law that prohimbits parking on the west side of Smythe Court. Motion to approve by Trustee Terwilliger, 2nd Trustee Neumann. Vote: All in favor. APPROVED.
• Review proposed Golf Carts and Greens Fees for 2012 season as per attached sheet. Vote scheduled for February 27th Board Meeting.
• Discuss Appointments to Ethics Board.
• Discuss Appointments to Masterplan Committee.
7. Old Business
• Formally withdraw proposed no smoking law. Motion to withdraw by Trustee Vaughan, 2nd Trustee Terwilliger. Vote: All in Favor: APPROVED
• Proposed New Historic District update.
• FEMA update
• Budget/Audit update.

The Senior Van is back! It will run on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays to take Senior Residents to appointments, shopping and errands within a 10 mile radius of the Village. Call John Stephani at 631-559-8863 to make arrangements.

NOTICE OF MEETING OF BOARD OF REVIEW AND HEARING OF COMPLAINTS

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the undersigned Assessor of the Village of Bellport has completed the tentative assessment of the Village of Bellport for the 2012-2013 tax year and that a copy thereof has been left with Scott B. Augustine, Village Clerk of the Village of Bellport, at 29 Bellport Lane, Bellport, NY 11713, where it may be seen and examined by any interested person until February 21, 2012.

On February 21, 2012, the Village of Bellport Board of Assessment Review will meet at the Bellport Village Hall, 29 Bellport Lane, Bellport, NY between the hours of 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. to hear complaints in relation to assessments. All changes in the tentative assessment roll made as a result of said Board of Assessment Review hearing of such complaints will be entered on such roll on or before the date when the final assessment roll is to be completed.
