New York State Senator Brian Foley recently held a press conference on the steps of the Bellport Community Center to announce that the Village of Bellport will receive $450,000 in funding from New York State for several projects in the Village. The Village of Bellport Centennial Celebration was held on August 6th & 7th and a great time was had by all who attended. Click on the words “Centennial Celebration” to seee a photo gallery of events.
The Senior Van is back! It will run on Mondays and Tuesdays to take Senior Reisdents to appointments, shopping and errands within a 10 mile radius of the Village. Call John Stephani at 631-559-8863 to make arrangements.

Please note that Kreamer Street will be repaved during the week of August 20, 2010. Contact Village Hall at 631-286-0327 with any questions.
We have received numerous cmoplaints regarding the condition of Station Road north of the Village. This is a Town of Brookhaven road and not within the Village’s jurisdiction. We have asked the Town about it and have been informed that they will be doing significant patching within the next several weeks and will pave the entire road next year.
- The Public Hearing for the Special Events Law will be continued at the September 27, 2010 Board of Trustees meeting. Interested parties are invited to attend.
- A Certificate of Appreciation for Edward Bleser will be presented to Carol Bleser at the September 27 Board of Trustees meeting for his work with the Bellport Historic Preservation Commission.
- Congratulations to Denise Mordente and Katie Mehrkens who were appointed Suffolk County Director and Secretary of the Long Island Village Clerk and Treasurers’ Association.
- The Phoenix Gallery/BAHC Request was approved for an outdoor display of Artwork on September 3, 2010.
- Mayor Pate was authorized to sign a lease with the Town of Brookhaven for use of the Community Center for the Brookhaven Town Senior Programs.
There will be a Board of Trustees Work Session on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 7 pm to discuss the restaurant at the Golf Course and set the 2011 Membership Rates. All interested residents are invited to attend.
Join during September and play the rest of the 2010 season as well as the entire 2011 season!
Any new member that joins during September or October and is referred by a current member will have their Initiation fee WAIVED! A savings of $2000! To join now call 631.286.0327 and speak to Christa or email Ccook@BellportVillage.org.
